I went to Whole Foods Market today in Columbia for the first time today. I was very pleasantly surprised. It is a beautiful store. Light and airy and very clean. The produce is beautiful. I would highly recommend it.

This review is for the bakery! We absolutely love all of the baked goods, we have ordered several times for various birthdays and other events. In the past I have gone to the counter and ordered in person. We went to place an order and I was waiting at the counter for a few minutes while the bakery employee was doing something else away from the counter, she turned, looked at me and said “are you ready?” To which I said yes and took a couple steps closer to the counter as she had her back turned to me and was continuing to do something else away from the counter, she then goes “I’ll come to you.” So I waited for her to come over, I told her that I would like to order a cake for pick up, she said “you can only order online, you can scan this QR code.” Then turned away from me and started helping someone else. I had trouble ordering on the Whole Foods website, so I called to see if there was any help they could provide. The employee (I believe it was the same one because I only saw one person there) said to me that the manager wasn’t in until tomorrow at 2 p.m. and would be able to help me then. I said I was concerned about timing because there needed to be 48 hours advance notice f

When you buy the strawberry shortcake from this Whole Foods, there's 75% chance that strawberry will have mold. This happened too many times already and I'm sick of it! And the cake is $37 before tax. It's not a cheap cake. Do you not inspect your product before boxing it and handing it to the customer? Make sure you open the box before check out to make sure it's edible and mold-free. That's what I'm going to have to do from now on I guess. I know they will either refund it or give me a new cake if I bring it back but why do I have to go through the hassle? I live 20 mins away and now I have to travel 40+ mins just for this cake.

This has to be one of the most Homeless friendly Whole Foods Market besides the ones in NYC. During 30 minutes lunchtime at the dining area, I was accompanied by lovely but smelly 4 homeless people. Two of whom had purchased food from the store, 2 not sure. One guy was cooking instant rice using the microwave and enjoying his meal. They didn’t cause any trouble but two took up a lot of space with their belongings. Besides the homeless situation in the dining area, this whole foods isn’t bad.

Whole Foods Market never disappoints! The store is spotless, the produce is always fresh, and the staff is genuinely kind and helpful. Their prepared foods and bakery items are amazing, and I love the quality of everything I buy. Definitely a 5-star shopping experience every time!
